Jayne Torville and Christopher Dean have been recognised for their voluntary work, in the New Year’s Honours list.
The ice-skating duo are best known for their winning performance at the 1984 winter Olympics.
The pair have received one of the highest accolades with a Damehood and a Knighthood – they spoke to BBC Breakfast about the moment they found out.
