Image released of man six years after Warlingham sexual assault

Police have released an e-fit of man they would like to trace six years after a teenage girl was sexually assaulted in the street.

The girl had just left a party in Westhall Road, Warlingham, at about 23:30 BST on 25 May, 2019 when she was attacked by an unknown man while waiting to be collected by her mother, Surrey Police said.

The victim, who continues to have flashbacks to that night, has now been able to provide a further description of the man, enabling officers to produce the image, the force said.

A spokesperson said a “considerable amount” of investigative work was done at the time including forensic examination, CCTV checks and appeals “but to date the man remains unidentified”.

Det Con Nikki Deadman said: “This was a serious offence and despite the passage of time, we are determined to leave no stone unturned in our inquiries.”

The force is appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
